How creative we think we are! We press our food into shapes, preserve it, frame it in a container made from a plant and put it in our pantries. The source of our food has become the groves of tin-filled shelves with colorful packaging and smart labeling.
I've bought it.
Still do sometimes.
It's easy - not much thought required.
But when I look at my lively plate of food at Kaluchandji's I see Source. I see my nutrients wrapped in the most colorful packaging nature can dream up! I can taste the care and intent that it was prepared with. The hosts prepared what they felt compelled to make, laid it out as an offering and I gratefully chose what would feed me. No menu. No marketing. It was offered in love and I accepted to my capacity.
